Premier 57 is not your typical day-spa; think of us as Manhattan's East meets West spa-Country Club. Culturally infused with traditional and modern offerings, Premier 57 focuses on providing a worldly wellness community, with luxury spa treatments as just one of the many additional experience enhancements. Soak in the traditional Japanese bath culture, then travel to Germany's hydrotherapy spa pools, after making a much deserved stop at Korea's hyper-customized Beauty Spa.…

How do I make an appointment I found a deal on Groupon and the fine print says I have to make an appointment to receive spa services I've been trying to call I sent two emails and no one can get back to me. So how does one make a reservation?

      A:

If your not doing a spa package then your fine. You don't need a appointment. With your Groupon voucher you just have to pay the tax fee which isn't a lot. You would have access to the rooftop area the bar and ect.

I had a nice relaxing day off during mid-winter recess. A friend of mine invited me to the spa on her birthday. The ultimate plus was she was able to find a deal on Groupon. As I trekked out to Manhattan on that freezing cold day I keep reminding my self this trip is for a purpose. Premier 57 spa is located of course on 57th Street on the top floor of the building. And yes they have roof top saunas. However, on this day I just could not bare the polar bliss, I opted out. Plenty of brave ones went up there, kudos! The view of the City simply amazing at night from above.

The customer service and hospitality was awesome. The facility was clean and not overcrowded. They offered Plenty of lockers and storage for your belongings. All your items remain secure as long as you have your digital wristband witch also doubles as an electric wallet for those who want to purchase adult beverages at the bar and Cafe. They also have an area where you can purchase personal toiletry items.

The massage was great but of course they can never be long enough. My favorite rooms were the Salt room and the Gold room. You adjust the heat mind over body. I felt the purification. I wish I could remember the exact temperatures of the room let's say 150 degrees. Don't bring your Cellphone inside and please no talking, people are meditating. Overall it was a great relaxing experience. We even received free calendars. I love free stuff lol.

Tucked in the middle of midtown East is premier57. In terms of amenities it does a pretty alright job. Three floors of spas, hydrotherapy pool, sauna rooms, and roof deck hot tub. A good three to four hours is needed to get a truly relaxing experience. Favorites were the hot tubs in the men's room and the 99f hydrotherapy pool on the roof deck. The cold room and the Himalayan salt room was also a good experience.

Deducted a star because I feel like given what you're paying for (~$75) general admission, I'd expected a little more. Maybe cause it's Manhattan and the prices are a little more. Also food was pretty expensive ($15 for a sandwich?) So that definitely turned me and my friend off to eat there

I came here last month with a group of girlfriends for a bachelorette. We bought a groupon to get some savings, and came on a Friday so it wasn't as crowded as other's have noted. (With this being the major factor for people not enjoying this place, I think Premier 57 should limit the number of guests so everyone can enjoy it).

With general admission ($75 USD), you get unlimited access to Premier57's indoor and rooftop hydrotherapy pools, six saunas, sleeping room, meditation room, water lounges, steam sauna, and dry sauna. There was honestly so much to do, even for our group of 5. The rooftop has 5 different hydrotherapy pools, all different temperatures. Me & my girlfriends enjoyed our time out here, soaking in the sun while relaxing in the pools! We did turn on some of the jets, but they are VERY strong, so if you're not used to it, you will surely be in for a surprise. The views on the rooftop are unlike anything I ever experienced. When thinking of a spa, you'd imagine beach or nature views, but here you'll see the city in all it's glory. Surrounded by buildings, and overlooking E 57th St & Park Ave - it was actually nice to see, especially as a visitor to the big city.

Premier57 also has a bar where you can get some drinks to sip on while relaxing in the hydrotherapy pools and hot tubs. Their drinks are on the pricey side, especially with the already high price of admission... BUT if you don't come here regularly, it might be nice to treat yourself! My friend got a glass of wine, and they were very generous with her portion size.

I would HIGHLY recommend coming to Premier57, regardless if you live in the area or not. It makes for such a relaxing day, especially with a group of girlfriends or your spouse! Be on the lookout for promotions on their website, or even day passes on Groupon to get the best prices!

I really enjoyed my visit here this past Sunday. It was the weekend before the Fourth of July so everyone was out of town. I arrived just after 9 and the place was empty. I had a Groupnon for admission + 30 minutes targeted therapy session. The Groupon recommended making a reservation for the targeted therapy session. I had tried calling 4 times before my visit on different days and went through an annoying menu and could never get through. When I arrived at Premiere 57 on the 8th floor, I checked in where you have to leave your I.D. The guy at the front desk gave minimal information, but just enough to get me to the locker room with my wrist band/watch that I would use to get into my locker and pay for things. I had asked him about setting up a time for targeted therapy and he said check upstairs at 11 (sigh).

The women's locker room attendant Jen, was very helpful. There is a shoe locker that you put your shoes in when you enter. Make sure you don't where your flip flops into the building, or bring another pair cause they don't allow you to wear what you came in with to keep it clean. You can buy flip-flops there for $5. They give you one towel and a robe. I was given a robe but before looking at it asked if they could give me a big size since I am plus sized. I had extra room in the robe and it worked well. Ask if you need a smaller/larger size as they are not one-size fits all. Hang on to your towel/robe, you will be charged if not returned and if you need an extra one $2-$3.

I was directed to my main locker and found it was enough to fit all of my stuff. I think the locker rooms are nice, but definitely wouldn't want to be in there with more than 15 people at a time. Not enough bench space, but plenty of lockers. Locker room amenities include make-up/blow-drying stations with big mirrors, toothbrushes, hair products, cotton balls and swabs, and a water dispenser. The nude area consisted of showers, a sauna, a steam room (broken), and 3 hot tubs (one cool). You can't wear a bathing suit in the locker room tubs but I decided to go in because no one was there. I saw a woman later come in with her bathing suit and was told later she had to take her suit off or exit the hot tub. This is the area that also leads to the body scrub area.

Still without an appointment for my targeted therapy, I asked the locker room attendant what to do, she told me to check on the floor below and floor above when they opened.

I made my way up to the 9th floor and scoped out the rest of the place. Meditation room, sleeping room, Himalayan salt room oh my! Also they have a cold igloo room, sol room, color therapy room, gold sauna, and infared sauna (sit on your towel or you will burn your bum on the stone in the infared room).

I got a green juice at the cafe for $10. It was good, kinda small. The bistro had many options from burgers to salads to salmon from around $15 to $20, but I didn't end up eating at the spa. I saw people eating waffles that looked good. Not a lot of healthy options though overall.

I spent time in the bode pools by myself and enjoyed it but almost got bruised from the powerful jets which are turned on by hand buttons. Stand back when you turn one on... don't say I didn't warn you :p The roof was nice and relaxing, all of the pools/tubs are very shallow though. I can see it not being as enjoyable when crowded.

Around 11am I tried again to make an appointment for targeted therapy and a third person told me something different so I almost started to get discouraged, I was relaxed for the most part, but making a reservation shouldn't be so darn complicated. I went back to the front desk and the guy said check back with the massage therapists at noon. I calmly, but firmly asked to have an appointment as there must be an appointment book or something. Then magically, he looked on the computer and made me a 12:30 pm appt. See, was that so hard? I don't blame him. It's a management issue. They need to make the process easier for guests and employees. I think it's pretty easy to make an appointment online though for their other services if you don't have a Groupon.

My targeted therapy session with Wang was great, he actually did a full body massage and got many of my sore spots. Not bad for 30 minutes time. The massages are at massage tables next to the infared lounge chairs (nice place to warm up). They put towels over you and your swimsuit. Tip is paid at end after your service and you scan your watch.

I was at the spa for close to 5 hours and was ready to leave as more people came in. Everyone around seem to enjoy themselves, looks like a good place for small groups too.

I think this place is 3.5 stars, it was fab, I would definitely be back, but they really need to work out the kinks, a spa should be relaxing at all times.

First time here and I loved it. You can come in or make an appointment on line. My husband treated me to such a great experience for the whole day, starting with a half an hour massage head to toe. The staff there is excellent and very professional, then we went to relax in the hot pool where you can enjoy drinks while in the water, I recommend their East far breeze drink ( I believe that was the name) and also mimosas.
Everything was super clean and sanitized from the bathrooms, lobby and pool desks upstairs and downstairs, upstairs on the 9th floor was such a nice ambiance view of the city.

We went to get some appetizers and you would think the food they had would be ok but it was actually super good the wings (buffalo and honey Dijon) were awesome their cheesy fries were nice and crispy. I wish they had a cool pool to just swim and cool off but all they had was heated pools. Selfishly I wished to have the whole place to ourselves but it was a bit crowded. I believe the same owner that owns spa castle ( which I'll never go) also owns that place. I might return for local comfort and try there facials. Wonder if he owns Sojo spa which that'll be my next place to go probably in a few weeks Overall is was wonderful thanks to my love!

Arrived around 4pm on a rainy Saturday. Upon arrival I was ready to 1 star this place. Getting off the elevator I was greeted by well over 50 other people, all who seem to complain how the spa oversold on groupon with an hour plus wait! Seriously, an hour to get in. I was thinking that if this is the wait to get in, what will it be like once inside? Will I get into the pools? Will it be wall to wall people?

Flashes of reviews we read on here flood my mind and it's already off to a bad start. However, reading reviews helped me know what to expect- the good, the bad, and the ugly. Luckily, the hour wait to get in was the worst part. Our experience went up from here with the exception of my initial locker room experience.

Finally we got in, the husband and I each got our watch things that control the locker and are used to pay for food and drink. He had time to check out the 3 soaking tubs in the locker room as well as the sauna and unfortunately broken steam room. He had time to use the super awesome shower before putting on his robe and meeting me in the co-ed area.

However, I had a less than relaxing time in the women's locker room. I had to wait in a huge bathroom line to use the bathroom because the Korean-spa-clueless were changing in there! I was nearly ready to burst after waiting on line to get in for an hour and the line was moving at a crawl because people were changing in the stalls instead of changing in the locker room. All these women who were too shy to change at their locker used the stalls instead, which is ridiculous. I said something and one of them let me go ahead of her thank goodness! We're not in middle school. This is not the place to go if you're afraid to use a locker room to change.

We didn't come here for treatments. Partly because of others reviews, partly because they are done in semi public areas, but mostly we came to enjoy the pools.

The bade pool is nice. However, due to the crowd there was a waitlist to get in, only 5 minutes for us this time. This is also home to the bar. Figure $15 wine, $20 liquor drinks, and $10 beer. The massage jets in the pool were great, but we wanted the roof pools. Once again a small wait to keep the crowds minimal but so worth it. A very cool experience and one of the top reasons to visit. It was a rainy day when we came but enjoyed the rooftop pools nonetheless.

The dry sauna rooms were perfect. By the time we got down to them it was close to 7pm and the crowds had thinned dramatically, so we were almost alone. The dry saunas were so relaxing. We tried them all. Around 9pm we both went back to the locker rooms for a final soak and shower. I finally got to enjoy the locker room pools and saunas and had them all to myself. It was great! The showers are amazing, you can make the water shoot out in so many different directions.

All in all it's fine here. It is louder than another Korean spa we've been to, especially in the pool areas. The spa definitely needs to work on crowd control and communication. The spa was clean and we enjoyed it but still feel good about not getting treatments here. Going for the pools and saunas is enough. Spent about 5 hours here.

Go to brunch, come here for a soak.

Came here last year with the groupon deal. Given that Premier 57 opened a few years ago, it is definitely much cleaner and has a better vibe than its sister spa (spa castle at College Point, Queens.) We will see how long this will last...

The spa will provide you with towels and a robe to wear over your bathing suit. They will also give you a plastic watch to wear which will be scanned to make food/drink purchases so you can leave your wallet in the locker. You will have access to all the saunas and pools with the general admission fee. They have different types of saunas (heat and ice) They offer a sleeping area, meditation room, outdoor/indoor pool, outdoor/indoor lounge areas. I like the ambiance of the lounging areas and the lighting that they use. It creates a much more relaxing atmosphere than Spa Castle. However, you'll still hear the street cars and see the buildings when you're in the outdoor area.

If you want to book a service (massage, facial, body scrub, etc), make sure you do so ahead of time. I recommend scheduling an appointment time for at least an hour after you plan to arrive in order to have sufficient time to check in and change. If you arrive too early, you can always hang out in the pool/lounge areas first. No reservation is needed for the general spa admission.

So here's my review. I have come to the establishment twice. The first time was roughly two years ago when the rooftop was closed for renovations. Things have changed so here we go. This spa is pretty expensive the cost is $80 just to utlize the pools, saunas, rooftop. You could literally spend the whole day just doing that. But to me $80 seems a little over the top. Yes its in a fancy building, and location does matter but good lord its expensive. All of the amenities are new and they recently redid the woman's nude area or that's what the attendant told me. You dont get the shirt and short set anymore now you are given a towel and a robe. Note: There will be a robe and towel hold on your checkout until they are returned. If you need an extra towel or robe you will pay a additional charge.

      Food
They serve food and beverages. The food is averaged priced. I got a chicken quesadilla for $15 it came with rice and beans so i guess it was priced right. It was okay i could of maybe a better one at home.

Massage: I didn't get one but they are pricey but treat yourself. I wish i had.

      Alcohol
You don't need the alcohol here it's expensive. There were drinks that were $18 like not today and it was basic drinks.

      Price:$$$

Overall the place is nice. IT's cool to just go in kick it with your friends, bae or by yourself.

Always check groupon for a deal.

Btw i was there for 5 hours on a Monday afternoon.
