Celebrating Cotton Day
On May 10th, a team comprising 230 enthusiastic volunteers, including employees and local community members, gathered at the Shimanami Cotton Farm to partake in a significant planting event. Together, we diligently planted a total of 2,200 cotton seedlings, fostering the growth of this essential material for our textile endeavors. At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to producing premium "Made in Japan" dress shirts, ensuring the highest standards of quality and authenticity.

Fantastic material and quality. Looks great with dark jeans. Fits great around the shoulders. Not intended to be worn untucked, as the last button sits quite high but that also means the last button doesn't rub against your belt. I'm seriously considering purchasing this in other colours as well.

These are excellent shirts. The fabric is top notch, the details are classic without being overwrought, and the all-important collar roll is both an homage to the shirts of yore while still being distinctive. A wonderful and worthy addition. Perhaps in Indian hand-woven madras someday?? Insh'allah...

Just great service
Had a minor problem that was sorted quickly and the delivery was just as quick. The shirt is very good quality, as expected and for me the best fit around. Won't be the last one I buy from Kamakura.
One of my favorite Kamakura Shirts.
The Giza 96 shirts have a nice color to them but have lower luster than the Sea Island Cotton shirts. The advantage these shirts have is that are a great alternative to the Sea Island Cotton shirts because of their wrinkle resistance and great color. If you love the Sea Island cotton shirts but hate the wrinkles they usually have, this one is a great alternative.

Really good quality shirt.
I have used this shirt on many formal occasions and I enjoy the luster, design, and collar of this shirt. The only negative is that is a little more difficult to iron than other shirts but in comparison to other Sea Island Cotton shirts is not that difficult.
One of my favorite Kamakura Shirts.
I have bought a great variety of shirts in the premium category and this one is one of my favorites. I have used it for many months now and feels good under the sun, light, and at close has an elegant look but without looking too flashy at a distance.
The bad part is that it is quite difficult to iron in comparison with other shirts of the premium line. If you are looking for a nice formal summer or spring shirt I would recommend this one.
