New York ！ Japanese Short Film Festival - 12th New York ・ Japan ・ Cinefest

The New York ・ Japan ・ Cinefest™ (NYJCF™), which presents independent short films in the United States with the theme "Japan," will celebrate its 12th year on November 3 and 4 at the Asia Society in Manhattan. Organizers ： Asia Society, Mark Creation, in cooperation with ： Public Information and Culture Center, Embassy of Japan, Short Shorts ・ Film Festival ＆ Asia, Aichi International Women's Film Festival, Boston Japanese Film Festival, Tokyo Independent Film Festival.

Due to the new coronavirus, the Asia Society, which has been the venue for the past eight years since its inception, will return for the first time in four years to hold the real event. This year, the opening night on the 3rd will feature "NYJCF x JICC" selected by the Public Information and Cultural Center of the Embassy of Japan in Washington D.C. with NYJCF, on the 4th, from 1PM, "Japanese Film Festivals" featuring recommended films from affiliated Japanese film festivals, and from 3:30PM, a 20 A reception will be held on the 3rd and a calligraphy performance by Kyoto calligrapher Tomofumi Niimi will be held on the 4th from 3PM. Also to be screened twice this year is the short documentary "Mori-Ba-ri" （ directed by Tatsuya Ino ） and produced by NYJCF Productions, which was produced by Hiroshi Kono and Kosuke Furukawa of the festival.

NYJCF is a production of three New York-based Japanese, Yasushi Suzuki （ actor ・ filmmaker ）, Kosuke Furukawa （ filmmaker ）, Hiroshi Kono （ event ・ music producer, Mar Creation Since the 2015 season, the festival has traveled to Boston, DC and other metropolitan cities ・ in the U.S., as well as collaborating with a number of Japanese film festivals. The festival has been held online, but this year, the 12th year, all films will be held at the actual venues.
