Nowadays, many people suffer from allergies. Newborns and infants are increasingly visiting allergy specialists for food allergies and atopic dermatitis. The frequency of childhood asthma and allergic rhinitis also increases with growth. In adults, adult-onset hay fever as well as food allergy and chronic urticaria are also common. In this article, we will provide an overview of these allergic diseases, how to deal with them, and compare testing and treatment methods in the U.S., where the medical system and environment are different from those in Japan, and we will also introduce allergy services that are available only in the U.S.
