Work Shop for weaving pots and pans with bamboo】2024.3.16 / 13:30-

Learn the handiwork of daily life and experience the wildflowers of the season.
A moment to become familiar with natural materials.

Why don't you make a potsherd out of bamboo ?

This workshop is to make a potsherd about 18cm in diameter,
using bamboo strips and rattan of madake, and weaving them together to finish.

Supple, resilient, light and strong, madake has long been an indispensable material for daily life.

The hexagonal shape of this pot stand is said to bring good luck.

As the Vernal Equinox, a day to praise nature and cherish life
is approaching, we plan to use the finished potsherds as a base for
decorating with plants and wildflowers of spring !

a first experience of bamboo crafts. It is perfect for
those who are interested in bamboo crafts as well as those who want to enjoy arranging plants
I think you will enjoy it.

Why not make and use your own bamboo potsherds that you can enjoy both using and displaying?

*The Livelihood Handicraft House is based in Midori Ward, Chiba City, where people who like to make things get together to
learn small handicrafts that can be used in daily life and pass them on to the next generation.
Why don't you join us to learn some handicrafts to make your daily life more enjoyable and rich?
We are planning to hold more bamboo workshops in the future, but the next time we will make pots and pans for the pots and pans is yet to be decided.
If you are interested, please take this opportunity to visit us.
In addition, if you are interested in bamboo crafts itself, you can just observe the workshop.
