The Nippon Club is pleased to invite two of Japan's leading women's basketball players, : Shiori Amma ( Toyota Motor Antelopes ) and Saori Miyazaki ( ENEOS Sunflowers ), to a webinar co-hosted by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Spowota Co. and Spo-Wota Co.
The two will talk about their experiences competing against teams from around the world, including the Tokyo Olympics ・ Paris Olympics, the current situation and challenges in the Japanese female athletic world as felt during their athletic careers, and their expectations for the next generation of female athletes and the business world. Recently, many companies have been considering social contribution through sports, such as supporting employee self-realization and DE&I promotion. This is a rare opportunity to hear firsthand from Japan's top female athletes while in the U.S. We hope you will join us. ( *This webinar will be conducted in Japanese. )

Yusuke Ietoku, Founder / CEO, Spowota Corporation
Joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 2010, involved in new overseas project development business and AI/IoT promotion business, then in 2017 He went on to study at Columbia University's Master of Sport Management program, and in 2018 founded Spowota, Inc. with the goal of energizing the world through sports, and developing sports-related businesses using technology.
Shiori Yasuma / Toyota Motor Antelopes

Born in Okinawa, Japan. Won the national junior high school basketball tournament championship at Chatan Junior High School and went on to Nakamura Gakuen Girls' High School, where she was a runner-up in the Inter-High School and Winter Cup. After graduating from Takushoku University ( Best 8 in All Japan University Basketball Championship ) Joined Toyota Motor Antelopes and contributed to the team's first championship in the W-League 2020-2021 season, including being named MVP of the playoffs. In 2021, he moved to Germany/Eisvogel USC Freiburg, where he was the mainstay of the team and helped it win its first championship, earning the Finals MVP award. In 2022, he moved to Italy/Umana Reyer Venice and returned to his current team in June 2023.
Saori Miyazaki / ENEOS Sunflowers

Born in Saitama, Japan. She went to St. Catherine's Women's High School in Ehime, Japan, where she was runner-up in both the Inter-High School and Winter Cup in her sophomore year. After being selected for Japan's national team for her age group at the 2011 U-16 Asian Championships, she contributed to the team as a main player at many world tournaments, including the 2021 Tokyo Olympics ( silver medal ), the 2022 FIBA Women's World Cup, and the 2024 Paris Olympics.
