** Women's Health Transition Training Program

The Women’s Health Transition Training program informs women veterans of the services offered by the VA to treat depression, musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, obesity, infertility, prenatal care, and MST. As we reflect on women’s suffrage, remember that the fight for equality didn’t end 100 years ago - and still isn't over. How to Register to Vote

Register online:
If you have a valid ID from the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, you can register to vote online here (https://voterreg.dmv.ny.gov/motorvoter/) . The deadline to register online is October 9th.

Register by mail:
To register by mail download the registration form (https://vote.nyc/sites/default/files/pdf/forms/voterreg/Voter_Registration_2020_English_WEB.pdf)
. Complete and sign the form then mail it to:

Board of Elections
32 Broadway, 7 Fl
New York, NY 10004-1609
Registration applications must be postmarked by October 9th and received by the Board of Elections no later than October 14th.

Register in person:
You can register to vote at your local board of elections (https://vote.nyc/page/contact-us) . Your application must be submitted by October 9th.

Change of Address
The voter registration form should be used as a change of address form and mailed to a county board of elections (https://www.elections.ny.gov/CountyBoards.html) . Notices of change of address must be received by October 14th.

** NY State of Health Deadline Extended

The deadline for health insurance special enrollment has been extended to September 15th. New Yorkers without health insurance can apply for coverage through the NY State of Health Plan Marketplace here (https://nystateofhealth.ny.gov/) .

** Joining Forces to Feed Veterans
------------------------------------------------------------

Team DVS joined the New York State Division of Veterans' Services (https://veterans.ny.gov/) and Black Veterans for Social Justice (https://bvsj.org/) to deliver food to veterans at the Harlem Vet Center (https://www.va.gov/directory/guide/facility.asp?ID=5487) . We delivered 200 bags of meals, each containing two meals apiece. The food was donated by Hello Fresh as part of a partnership to distribute meal kits to veterans and military families across New York State.

Veterans can still pick up three free meals a day at one of the 400 Grab and Go sites (http:// https://bit.ly/3bv4IP8) . BUT if you’re vulnerable to COVID-19 or have a disability, please contact DVS to have food delivered to your home at (212) 416-5250 or connect@veterans.nyc.gov.


** Housing Support & Eviction Prevention
