5歳児がNYで楽しく過ごせる場所って‥

家内と5歳の息子を連れて米国に半年ほど出張することになりました。

初めの1か月だけ，NYのUpper East Sideに滞在しなくてはならないのですが，
その辺りで日中，5歳児が楽しく過ごせる所（＝同い年くらいの現地の子ども
たちと触れ合える所）を探しています。

幼稚園に入るには滞在期間が短かすぎるでしょうし，公園に連れて行っても
現地の子どもは幼稚園や学校に行っていていないでしょうし。

私が仕事に出かけている間，子供（＆家内）が少しでも有意義に過ごせたら
と思っています。

何かいいアイディア，施設などご存じの方，教えて頂けないでしょうか。
