Born&and raised in New York City. Bilingual ophthalmologist in Japanese ・ and English.
Graduated from Columbia University, Department of Neurology. He then went on to the New York State Medical College and served his residency in ophthalmology at the affiliated University Hospital. During his residency, he received "The Excellence in Ophthalmology Award" for three consecutive years and was elected as chief resident. He is board certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology and board trained in laser refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, LASEK) and corneal transplantation. He is also currently an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at SUNY Medical School.

Dr. Hayashi graduated with a B.S. in Molecular Biology from Princeton University, with highest honors. She taught English in Kurashiki, Japan through Princeton in Asia. He then went on to Cornell University Medical School. After graduating from medical school, he worked as an ophthalmology resident at the university hospital. During his residency, he received the "Distinguished Housestaff Officer Award" for two consecutive years and served as chief resident in ophthalmic surgery. He has been a resident chief of ophthalmic surgery since 2002 and is well versed in the latest in ophthalmic and laser surgery.

The staff is awesome! The office is big, clean and all the machinery is advanced. You're greeted by the receptionist who is very nice. Dr. Asoma and his assistant who completed all my tests are the best. They took their time explaining everything to me in detail and made sure I was at ease every step of the way. Doctor Naomi has a really nice place. Both the assistant and the doctor are professional, friendly and are very good at explaining things to me. Highly recommended, especially if you have sore eyes that dry out easily. Loved everything! The doctors and recepcionista are super cool!
