Evening Elementary School !?!?

みなさまこんにちは。是非お伺いしたいことがあるのですが、
Evening Elementary Schoolとは何のことですか？？？
実は、ある方の経歴を日本語に訳しているのですが、１９６６年にニューヨーク市立のEvening Elementary Schoolを卒業した、とあるのです。Elementaryといえば小学校しか思い浮かばないのですが、その方が３３歳の時のことなので、そんなはずはないですよね。。。　そういう名前の専門学校や大学があるのかどうか知りたいのですが、ご存知の方いらしたら教えて頂けますでしょうか。
また、私は日本在住でＮＹのことをよく知らないので、学校関係で分からないことがあったらどのように調べたらよいかも教えて頂けると幸いです。
