ワイヤレス接続/ＳＯＮＹ　ｔｙｐｅＰ

カナダ＆アメリカで使用するためのノートＰＣを日本で購入予定です。
ソニーのｔｙｐｅＰにしたいのですが日本メーカーに問い合わせると、
「海外での使用はオススメしていません。
　ランケーブルを差し込むところがありません。
　ワイヤレスも許可をとっているわけではありませんし、
　保障もしていません。」
という回答がきました。

日本で購入したノートＰＣを持ちこんで、他国でワイヤレスインターネット接続をしているというケースは多いと思います。
ＳＯＮＹ　ｔｙｐｅＰが特殊なのか、それとも厳密にはどのメーカーＰＣも同じであって使えているということなのかと悩みます。
ご存知の方おられたら情報をお願いします。
ちなみに、エイサーは「可能」という回答でしたが、Ｖｉｓｔａの発売予定がないため断念しています。

ワイヤレスはどのパソコンも同じ規格なので大丈夫ですよ。
