After working with Takarazuka Revue, one of Japan's premier theater troupes, she appeared in the hit US drama series "SHOGUN Shogun" (Hulu/FX) last year as （ Daiyouin/Iyo no Kata （ and Kodaiin ） ）. Actress ・ Ako, who continues to be at the forefront of the Japanese and American theater world, will be invited to a two-part talk event.

In the first part, she will talk about the behind-the-scenes of the drama series "SHOGUN Shogun "*, why it became a worldwide hit, and the appeal of the series.

The second part is "Izumoakuni," a female performer who is said to have made the beginning of Kabuki. She performed, directed, and produced her own two-person play of the same work, which will be performed for the first time this November. She will talk about the new possibilities of kabuki, the pride of Japan, where women have been forbidden to perform, and how she will express her fascinating world on stage, as well as the highlights of the play. This talk event will be moderated by Saori Goda. （ This event will be conducted in Japanese. ）

AKO was born in Fukui Prefecture and grew up in Tokyo. He began acting as a child, and after a seven-year career with the Takarazuka Revue Company, he moved his base to the United States in 1981, settling in New York City. He has since worked extensively off ・Broadway ・stage, on television, and in film, and founded the Japanese-English theater company AMATERASU ZA in 2018. After the success of "SHOGUN Shogun", this fall she will personally perform, direct, and produce "Izumo no Akuni", the origin of Kabuki, to further pursue her acting career.
