I usually watch Japanese dramas, but if there is something interesting
I would like to watch foreign works as well.

Nice to meet you.
I usually have essentials sent from Japan every 3 months, but I am having trouble because they stopped accepting packages from Japan to the US in October.
I can't find any substitutes for the essentials because we don't have them here.
I called Yamato International Takkyubin in Japan, but they too told me that all shipments to the US have been suspended.
How is everyone else doing ？?

I have just married my American boyfriend, and now that we have our marriage certificate, we are going through the green card process.

So here is my question. I am on an F-1 VISA and have 12 college credits. I am going to be busy with VISA procedures, etc. I would like to destroy my I-20 and switch my status to I-797C if possible. The international office at the college does not recommend destroying the I-20 until I receive my green card. But I can switch to I-797C and stay. I was told.

Personally, I would like to change my status before I submit my green card paperwork and continue to take classes at the college for 12 credits or less.

Is there any risk there ？

I would appreciate it if you have had a similar experience or have any information.

I am not certain yet, but I saw an article in the news that a new corona additional support was voted on, so I thought I would just share what I understood. Please understand that I may be wrong. Also, please note that although it has been voted on, it has not been signed by President Trump yet and the details are subject to change

・ Additional Stimulus Check benefits （ per adult $ 600.00, down from the previous amount. 00. ）
・ Additional Unemployment Insurance Benefit （ This is also less than last time and is for a weekly benefit of $ 300.00. ）
・ Additional Paycheck Protection Program （ PPP ） （ Details below. ）
・ Other things like extended evictions and rent assistance for people who can't pay their rent are also being incorporated.

Additional Paycheck Protection Program （ PPP ） seems to be available for companies that could not apply for the first PPP or companies that received PPP the first time and exhausted it and need more PPP. The basic rules and repayment waiver rules seem to be the same as for the first PPP, but there may be some changes, such as an increase in the amount that can be applied for in the hospitality industry, such as the hotel industry. Also, it seems that the second application is limited to companies with less than 300 employees and sales that have decreased by 25% or more from the previous year.

In addition, the original rule for companies that received an EIDL Grant of $10,000 and a PPP loan was that they had to repay the $10,000 in the PPP forgiveness process, but it appears that this rule will also change.

It was also mentioned that the expenses paid with PPP loans can now be included as expenses in the tax return.

The final rules will probably be decided at the beginning of January next year and the information will be available on the SBA website, but I don't think the first-come, first-served basis will change, so if you need a PPP loan, please prepare early. I am sure CPAs and attorneys will have more detailed information on the rest, so please check on your own for accurate information.

コロナの影響もあり、近々日本に本帰国予定です。

去年の11月にスピード違反切符をHarrison, New Yorkで切られました。当時はnot guiltyで提出し、裁判所に行く日付も今年の4月ごろ予定でしたが、コロナの影響で延期が続き、今では「あなたの日付は未定です」と手紙をもらいました。

しかし、近々日本に本帰国するので、もし今後、裁判所に来なさいと言われても日本から向かうのは不可能に近いです。従って、not guiltyで提出しましたが、guiltyに今変えて払わなきゃいけない罰金を払い、ポイントは貰ってしまおうと思っています。

この時点でnot guiltyからguiltyに変えることは可能なのでしょうか？もし以前同じような経験、特にHarrison Town Courtで同じ経験した方がいらっしゃいましたら、お答えいただけると助かります。

ニューヨークに来てから7月で1年が過ぎました。来る前に思い描いてたニューヨークの街と、来て住んでからの現実との違いに戸惑っている状況です。

自分がまだ学生(院生)だからだとは思いますが、思っていたよりずっと学校の多い街で、どこに行っても学生だらけなこと。大学にもよるでしょうけれど、学部生でも昼休みにお寿司屋さんにお寿司を食べに行ったり、プール付きのコンドでパーティーなど裕福な家の子息や子女も多いですよね。またそれとは対象的な人たちも多くいて、貧富の差のあまりの激しさに怖くなることが度々ありました。

こちらで知り合った日本人の女性には、50歳を過ぎても独身でいる人も多くて、生活もゆとりがあるとは思えず、他人事とは言え、自分の立場に当てはめてみると、ここで女性ひとり歳を取ってゆくことに不安はないのかと思ってしまいます。60歳を超えても帰れる実家なりがあり、働かなくても良い状況があるのからでしょうか？直接聞けば良いことですが、私には聞く勇気がありませんでした。彼女たちには、何か帰れない理由があるのでしょうか？
